"First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for ALL PEOPLE, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. yes it does that is xactly what i wondered, for two reasons
one because in trad. jewish circles you are not encouraged to pray for gentile unblvrs.
and two -- i have been told by protestant blvrs that the lost should not be prayed for in any sense except for their salvation, but paul seems to say diff.

although, could someone argue to say that the "urge" from paul was only for the SALVATION of these ppl?
Ah! But Paul doth saye, "Supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings..."
Not only Intercessions, which would implie for Salvaytion.
